Improved performance directly linked to healthy eating choices

“Healthy eating choices” is a line that gets drummed into us everywhere we go. However the amount of healthy choice messages out there are usually drowned out by the major fast food chains promoting the unhealthy choice. Sam Thaiday, the Broncos back rower, recently reported on the footy show that he has started to make healthy choices, mainly involving eating home cooked meals and stopping his intake of fast food. These healthy choices for Sam have seen his profile as a good player, elevated, to one of the best in the game this year. His healthy eating will not only influence his on field play, but they will also benefit him in the long run with his long term health. Some of the long term benefits he will achieve from healthy eating are, a greater ability to withstand diseases that affect aboriginal people like, type 2 Diabetes, heart disease and obesity.
