Detailed Description
The QRU Development Officer is employed to work closely with relevant stakeholders, particularly providers of participation opportunities to grow the number of participants playing rugby union. A close working relationship with rugby clubs, schools, affiliates and other relevant stakeholders will be essential to the successful achievement of this position’s objectives.

Essential Criteria
Candidates applying for this role must have the following:
  • A strong passion and interest in Rugby Union
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to evoke the cooperation of people across a wide range of organisations including volunteers, coaches and schools
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Strong time management, presentation skills and the ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
  • Adequate computer skills and information technology literacy
  • Preparedness to be flexible in respect to work hours and intrastate travel
  • As this role is remote to the QRU head office, candidates will need to have the ability to work independently, a preparedness and capacity to work in relative isolation and the adaptability to work as part of a team situation as and when required
